Mercedes-Benz Canada Inc.
Located in Burnaby, British Columbia, the Mercedes-Benz Canada Fuel Cell Division (MBFC) opened in 2012 and has subsequently played an instrumental role in the global commercialization of fuel cell technology. Since its inception, MBFC has been manufacturing Fuel Cell Stacks samples (prototypes) and was the first automated automotive facility dedicated to the production of fuel stacks and sub-assemblies, as well as to the advancement of fuel stack production technology. Within MBFC, the Common Fuel Cell Program (CFCP) is focused on further refining its manufacturing processes with the goal of reducing production costs. It is also playing a key role in the implementation of the next Fuel Cell Car Series by Daimler.
