The CHFCA celebrates National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day

OTTAWA – The Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) is pleased to celebrate the 8th Annual National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day.

National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day is observed on October 8 (10.08) in recognition of the atomic weight of hydrogen: 1.008, with a goal of increasing awareness of the benefits afforded by hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.

Earlier this week, the CHFCA and its members hosted the sector’s first Hydrogen Day on the Hill in Ottawa to meet with federal government officials and discuss the need to accelerate the adoption of hydrogen energy to meet Canada’s net-zero emission targets.

The CHFCA and its members also hosted the Canada Pavilion at the hy-fcell event in Stuttgart, Germany to promote the capabilities of the Canadian sector and highlight collaboration opportunities with international stakeholders.

As of today, the CHFCA has over 170 members across the Canada and its regional branches in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario that continue to make advances in technologies and research in hydrogen and fuel cells.
