The Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association is pleased to welcome Hydro-fuel as a new Start-up member.
Hydrofuel is commercializing disruptive technologies that will profitably de-carbonize agriculture, chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, and other carbon-intensive processes through the production of green hydrogen, ammonia, and carbon chemicals using renewable energy and/or opto-photochemistry (light and LEDS).
Notably, Hydrofuel has entered into a significant partnership with the University of Toronto’s Solar Fuels Group to pioneer a novel process that leverages light to transform hydrogen carriers into cost-effective hydrogen. Additionally, they have published a comprehensive book on Ammonia Energy Technologies, which is the first of its kind to encapsulate the entire spectrum of ammonia use for energy, from its production to its ultimate application. Furthermore, Hydrofuel has established an exclusive manufacturing and sales agreement with Technocarb Equipment Ltd. for hydrogen and ammonia fuel kits, which are designed to retrofit existing hydrocarbon-fueled machinery, thereby facilitating a smoother transition to greener energy sources.
“As a pioneer in hydrogen and ammonia energy for over four decades Hydrofuel is pleased to be a member of the CHFCA, Canada’s leading clean energy association.” Greg Vezina, Hydrofuel Chairman and CEO said, “As a pioneer in hydrogen and ammonia energy for over four decades Hydrofuel is pleased to be a member of the CHFCA, Canada’s leading clean energy association.”
“The CHFCA extends a warm welcome to Hydrofuel as our newest member,” says Ivette Vera-Perez, President and CEO of the CHFCA. “With over 40 years of experience in developing ammonia fuel conversion systems and related technologies for automotive and power generation applications, Hydrofuel stands as the global leader in this field. Their inclusion in CHFCA’s all-encompassing value chain membership is a valuable addition, and we eagerly anticipate supporting the Hydrofuel team in their endeavors.”
