The CHFCA is delighted to welcome the City of Owen Sound as a new associate member

Owen Sound, ON – The Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association is delighted to welcome the City of Owen Sound as a new associate member.

The City of Owen Sound is located on the southern shores of Georgian Bay in a valley below the sheer rock cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment. Owen Sound is  the largest urban community in Grey and Bruce Counties, representing a primary commercial market of 158,000.

To tackle climate change in the Owen Sound area, the City has developed a Climate Action Strategy, which comprises of adaptation and mitigation components that will guide the City in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of a changing climate.

The Mayor of the City of Owen Sound, Ian Boddy, spoke about joining the association and the city’s clean energy ambitions: “The City of Owen Sound is thrilled to join as a member of the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA), and we look forward to working alongside other Canadian organizations to further hydrogen and zero-emissions technology advancement. As we continue to build momentum for Owen Sound’s future economy in clean energy, we are excited to participate as an active member of CHFCA as we strive towards future growth, research, and innovation in the hydrogen sector.”
