Derek is the Director of Transit Fleet Maintenance with the City of Edmonton and is an accomplished leader with over 10 years’ experience in the public sector after spending more than a decade in the energy sector. Derek is the project lead for the Alberta Zero Emission Hydrogen Transit committee, and a member of the Ontario Public Transit Association and CUTA Maintenance Sub-Committees.

Derek has extensive strategic experience in the areas of energy, lifecycle planning, emission reduction and fleet conversion.
