BC Hydro is an integrated public utility with over 12,000 megawatts of generating capacity that delivers hydroelectricity to 95% of the population of British Columbia (B.C.), Canada. BC Hydro provides service to over five million British Columbians and supplies over 32,000 gigawatt-hours of energy to commercial and industrial businesses.

In 2025, with the addition of its new Site C facility, BC Hydro’s capacity is projected to increase by more than 9%. Over 98% of the power that BC Hydro generates is from clean, low carbon, and renewable sources. BC Hydro has 31 generating stations in the province sending electricity along 75,000 kilometers of power lines that range over mountain tops and river valleys, forested wilderness, and high-density urban areas.
